Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 13-09-2026
Welcome to Feline Sublime. These terms tell you who we are, how we sell our artwork, and what you can expect from us - and what we expect from you - when you order through felinesublime.com.
Please read them before placing an order. By using this website or buying from us, you agree to them.
1. Who we are
This website is operated by Feline Sublime ("Feline Sublime", "we", "us", "our"), a sole trader based in the United Kingdom.
- Email: felinesublime8@gmail.com
- Phone: 07377 322837
All artwork sold on this site is created by artist Charlotte Benz.
2. About these terms
These terms apply to every order placed through this website. By placing an order you confirm that you are at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract.
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the moment you place your order is the version that applies to that order.
If any part of these terms is found to be unlawful or unenforceable, the rest of them continue to apply.
3. Our products
We sell original paintings, fine art prints, canvases, greeting cards, gift vouchers and commissioned pet portraits.
Originals. Every original painting is a one-off, hand-painted piece. Once it's sold, it's gone. Surface texture, brushwork and edges are part of the character of the work rather than defects.
Prints, canvases and cards. These are reproductions of original artworks. Small variations in colour, tone and trim are normal between print runs.
Colour on screen. Images on this website are as accurate as we can make them, but screens, browsers and devices all render colour differently. The colour you see on your device may not exactly match the piece you receive.
Sizes. Stated dimensions refer to the artwork or paper size unless we say otherwise. Unless the listing explicitly says a frame is included, artwork is supplied unframed.
Availability. All items are subject to availability. If a piece sells before we can fulfil your order, we'll contact you and refund you in full.
4. Prices and payment
All prices are shown in pounds sterling (GBP) and include UK VAT where applicable. Shipping is calculated and shown at checkout before you pay.
We accept the payment methods displayed at checkout, including major debit and credit cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay, Shop Pay, PayPal and Klarna. Payments are processed securely by our payment providers — we don't store your card details.
If you pay using Klarna or a similar buy-now-pay-later provider, your credit agreement is with that provider and subject to their terms, not ours.
We try hard to keep pricing accurate. If we spot an obvious pricing error before dispatch, we'll contact you to confirm whether you'd like to proceed at the correct price or cancel for a full refund.
5. How your order is accepted
Placing an order is an offer to buy. Your order is accepted — and a contract formed — when we send you a dispatch confirmation email. The automatic order confirmation you receive immediately after checkout is an acknowledgement, not acceptance.
We may decline an order if the item is unavailable, if we can't take payment, if there's a pricing or description error, or if we can't deliver to your address.
6. Delivery
We ship within the UK and internationally.
Timescales. Estimated dispatch and delivery times are shown at checkout or on the product page. These are estimates, not guarantees. Original paintings and commissions may take longer as they're packed individually.
Tracking. Higher-value items are sent on a tracked and insured service. We'll send tracking details where available.
Risk and ownership. Goods become your responsibility once they're delivered to the address you gave us. Ownership passes to you once we've received payment in full.
Wrong or incomplete addresses. Please check your delivery address carefully. We can't be responsible for parcels lost or delayed because of an incorrect address, and re-delivery may incur a further charge.
Failed deliveries. If delivery is attempted and nobody is available, the carrier will normally leave a card or attempt redelivery. If a parcel is returned to us as unclaimed, we'll refund the item price less our outbound and return shipping costs.
International orders. Customs duties, import taxes and handling fees are not included in our prices and are your responsibility. These are charged by the destination country, not by us. If you refuse a parcel because of unexpected customs charges, we'll refund the item price less any shipping and return costs we incur.
7. Your right to cancel (UK and EU consumers)
If you're a consumer, you have a legal right to cancel your order within 14 days of the day you (or someone you nominate) receive the goods, without giving a reason.
To cancel, just tell us clearly before the 14 days are up — an email to felinesublime8@gmail.com with your order number is perfect.
Returning the goods. You then have 14 days from telling us to send the item back. Please pack it securely, ideally in its original packaging. You are responsible for return postage and for the item until it reaches us, so we strongly recommend a tracked and insured service — especially for originals.
Your refund. We'll refund the price you paid plus standard outbound delivery (not any upgraded shipping you chose) within 14 days of receiving the item back, using the same payment method you used. We may reduce your refund to reflect any loss in value caused by handling beyond what's needed to inspect the item.
What you can't cancel. The right to cancel does not apply to goods made to your specification or clearly personalised — which includes commissioned pet portraits and any custom artwork. Please see section 8.
8. Commissions
Commissioned artwork is bespoke, made to your specification, and therefore exempt from the 14-day cancellation right once work has begun.
Because we want you to love the result, here's how we work:
- Brief and photos. You supply clear, well-lit reference photographs of your cat. The quality of the final piece depends heavily on the quality of the references, so we may ask for better ones before starting.
- Payment. We'll confirm the price, size and approximate timescale before starting. [Payment is taken in full at the time of order / A non-refundable deposit of X% is payable up front, with the balance due before dispatch — DELETE AS APPROPRIATE.]
- Cancelling. You may cancel free of charge any time before work begins. Once work has begun, [the deposit is non-refundable / we'll refund any amount not already reflected in work completed].
- Interpretation. A commission is an original artwork, not a photographic reproduction. Charlotte works in her own style, which you can see throughout this site. Minor revisions can usually be accommodated at the sketch stage; substantial changes after painting has started may incur an additional charge.
- Rights in your photos. By submitting photographs, you confirm you own them or have permission to use them, and you give us permission to work from them.
- Showing the work. We may photograph and share completed commissions on our website and social media. If you'd prefer we didn't, just tell us and we won't.
None of this affects your legal rights if a commissioned piece arrives faulty or damaged.
9. Faulty, damaged or incorrect items
If something arrives damaged, faulty or not what you ordered, contact us within 14 days of delivery with your order number and photographs of the item and its packaging. This helps enormously with carrier claims.
We'll put it right with a repair, replacement or refund. Return postage for faulty or incorrect items is on us.
Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must be as described, fit for purpose and of satisfactory quality. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.
Caring for your artwork. Original paintings and prints should be kept out of direct sunlight and away from damp or extreme heat. Fading or damage caused by display conditions, accidents or normal wear after delivery isn't covered.
10. Gift vouchers
Gift vouchers are issued electronically and sent to the email address given at checkout.
- Vouchers can be redeemed against anything on this website, including commissions.
- Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of issue unless stated otherwise.
- They cannot be exchanged for cash, and we can't replace vouchers that are lost, stolen or sent to an incorrect email address.
- If an order costs less than the voucher's value, the remaining balance stays on the voucher. If it costs more, you pay the difference at checkout.
11. Intellectual property — please read this bit
All artwork, images, designs, text and branding on this website are the copyright of Charlotte Benz / Feline Sublime and are protected by UK and international copyright law.
Buying a piece of art does not transfer its copyright. When you buy an original painting, a print, a canvas or a commission, you own that physical item and may display it in your home or business and resell it privately. You do not acquire the right to:
- reproduce, copy, scan or photograph the artwork for commercial use;
- print it onto products, merchandise or packaging;
- use it in advertising, branding or promotional material; or
- create derivative works from it.
Charlotte Benz retains copyright and all reproduction rights in every artwork, including commissioned pieces, and may continue to produce prints, cards and other reproductions of her work.
You're very welcome to share photographs of your artwork on social media for personal, non-commercial purposes — a credit or tag is always appreciated.
If you'd like a commercial licence, get in touch and we'll talk.
12. Using this website
You may use this site for lawful personal purposes only. You agree not to misuse it — no attempting to gain unauthorised access, introducing malicious code, scraping content, or using automated systems to place orders.
We aim to keep the site available and accurate, but we don't guarantee uninterrupted access and we may suspend, withdraw or change any part of it without notice.
Accounts. If you create an account, keep your login details confidential and let us know promptly if you think someone else has access. We may suspend or close accounts that are used in breach of these terms.
Reviews and submissions. Anything you post or send us must be accurate, your own, and not offensive or unlawful. We may remove content that isn't.
13. Marketing emails
If you sign up to our newsletter, we'll send you occasional emails about new artwork, offers and news. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email, or by emailing us. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your data.
14. Privacy and cookies
We handle your personal data in line with UK GDPR. Please see our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy for details of what we collect, why, and your rights.
15. Links to other sites
Where we link to third-party websites or services, those links are provided for information only. We have no control over their content and accept no responsibility for them.
16. Our liability
Nothing in these terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't legally be limited — including your statutory rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, we are not liable for losses that were not foreseeable at the time the contract was formed, or for business losses (we supply to consumers for domestic and private use; if you buy for business purposes, we have no liability for loss of profit, business, or business opportunity). Our total liability in connection with any order will not exceed the amount you paid for it.
17. Events outside our control
We're not liable for delays or failures caused by events beyond our reasonable control — including postal and courier disruption, extreme weather, power or network failures, civil disruption, or government restrictions. If such an event occurs, we'll contact you as soon as possible and the delivery timescale will be extended. If the delay is substantial, you may cancel and receive a full refund.
18. Complaints and how to reach us
If something isn't right, please tell us — most things are sorted with a quick email.
